JOB SUMMARY

You will be based in the Engineering Group providing a range of testing services which will include manual and automated testing of the interactive TV products in our product range, web testing of our IP services, and supporting the development of our products and solutions as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing System tests including Functionality, Integration and Regression.
  • Writing Test Specifications from Functional Specifications and Requirements documents.
  • Executing, editing and reporting against Test Cases and Scripts.
  • Performing Web testing on the company’s Web Consoles.
  • Recording and monitoring defects on the company’s bug tracking system.
  • Liaising with the Development Team to verify issues that may arise during testing.
  • Liaising with Developers on resolution and re-test.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

  • Minimum one year of software testing experience.
  • Grade A-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English language.
  • A level or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience of testing on: Set-Top-Boxes, IPTVs, Smartphones or other consumer grade hardware.
  • Experience performing Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Undergraduate level qualification or equivalent in Scientific or Engineering discipline.
  • Proven ability to write Test Specifications from functional specifications or requirements documents.
  • Knowledge and experience of Testing processes and practices.

 GENERAL

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs per week)  role based at our Northwich office. The successful applicant will be able and willing to travel internationally to test at customer sites.
