With twelve other middleware proposals mainly focussing on their technology, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for Nigeria chose Inview to assist them with the development of a national common standard DTT and DTH Free-to-Air platform, known as Free TV, as we demonstrated not only our technical expertise but also our ability to operate the service and drive analogue switch off.

Our services include interactive advertising, push video on demand, electronic programme guide (EPG), audience measurement services and conditional access system. Our feature rich EPG, user interface (UI) and value added services provides a compelling user experience without the expense of high end set-top boxes, helping to keep costs down for the consumer.

Our technology allows operators to monetise the digital TV proposition by deploying revenue generating services and integrating advertising directly into the EPG and UI. Advertising can be targeted to region, user profile or TV viewing as well as promoting the best of Nigerian and International content. Other value added services include news, public service information and a range of broadcasting applications.

The platform allows for the upgrade of services from launch of digital TV straight through to hybrid services and future proofs the Nigerian digital switchover platform.
